About Turmi LODGE
Turmi Lodge is located at Turmi, a spectacular small market area in southern Ethiopia, where the Hammar people gather every Monday, market day of the week.
The construction work of the lodge is now partially complete, with 24 rooms currently ready to give service out of total 48 laid out in the construction plan.

Surrounded by a panoramic view at the foot of the mountain, Turmi Lodge has all the comforts you expect: beautiful bath rooms with flush toilets, showers with ample hot water, dependable electricity, delicious food. Guest rooms feature elegant stonework and artifacts from local tribes.
Each room is furnished in cultural materials with Twin bed, one cozy shower and a rest room. One restaurant decorated in traditional crafts is situated at a corner where visitors will have the stunning view of the area. The lodge is equipped with one electric generator serving an interrupted light and power service.

The People
The People
The people of the Lower Omo Valley are pastoralists earning their living primarily on the wealth of livestock. Their livestock consists of Zebu Cattle, Goats and Sheep. Farming is considered a subsidiary and sorghum is seldom cultivated to Support their livelihood.
